Aloha, and welcome to Paradise Window Coverings! We’re a family-owned business born on the windward side of Oahu, and we help Honolulu-area homeowners choose, design and install windows and window treatments that fit the way they live. Our founder, Derek, brings two decades of combined window treatment and construction experience from hundreds of projects across the island.
What Window Treatments Do We Offer in Honolulu?
Consult, Design, Install, Perfect
We offer blinds, shades, shutters and replacement windows, and each one is custom-made for your home. Here’s a look at each category.
Our blinds give you precise control over light and privacy with adjustable slats. We offer vertical blinds for sliding glass doors and wide windows, faux wood blinds that resist moisture and warping, aluminum blinds built for humidity and salt air, and Aria™ Soft Blinds by Hunter Douglas for soft, light-filtering fabric.
Shades are made from continuous material, so they bring a softer look than blinds. Our collection includes roller, honeycomb, motorized, natural woven, sheer, modern Roman, solar, banded and sliding door shades. Options range from sheer fabrics that keep your view to blackout styles for bedrooms and media rooms.
Plantation shutters become a permanent part of your home, with adjustable louvers for light control and privacy. We offer wood shutters for classic warmth and composite shutters that resist moisture, warping and cracking in kitchens and bathrooms. Both are cordless and easy to wipe clean.
We offer Milgard replacement windows in styles that include awning, casement, single-hung and double-hung. Our preferred installer, All Windows Installation, handles replacements under a separate contract, or you’re welcome to hire your own installer.
Window Treatments Built for Hawaii’s Climate
Island homes deal with strong sun, high humidity, and salt air every day. We choose products that hold up to those conditions, and we match each room to the treatment that will perform best there:
- Faux wood blinds, aluminum blinds and composite shutters resist moisture, which makes them strong choices for bathrooms and kitchens.
- Solar shades and sheer shades filter harmful UV rays while keeping your view of the outdoors.
- Honeycomb shades trap air in their cells to create an insulating layer that helps keep rooms cooler.
- Motorized shades can follow a set schedule, so they close during the hottest part of the day even when you’re away.
The Brands We Trust
We’ve carefully curated our products to feature leading manufacturers. Hunter Douglas provides many of our blinds, shades and shutters, including its Palm Beach plantation shutters made for humid climates. Hartmann&Forbes handweaves natural window coverings from sustainable fibers in seamless widths up to 180 inches. Lutron motorized roller shades work with Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit and Control4. Milgard windows round out our offerings with durable, energy-conscious replacement windows.
